3CA undertook a 12 months project with funding provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation under the Resilient Communities fund. The two main objectives of the project were as follows:

  1. The rebuilding and recovery of the organization from negative impacts of COVID-19 by expanding our fundraising capacity with local, national and international reach;
  2. The enhancing of 3CA technology platform for contactless program delivery.

As a result of the successful completion of the project, 3CA was able to:

  1. Increase service delivery, outreach and memberships through the use of the technology platforms such as enhanced VOIP and teleconferencing using Zoom which in turn increased our monthly and yearly contributions from members and supporters.
  2. Relaunch 3CA programming through the hosting of an in person event which resulted in attracting new program supporters. As a result, 3CA raised monthly AND yearly pledges totaling over $50,000 with a target of $300,000.

As for project impact, the project provided 3CA:

  1. The means to purchase the technology needed in order to reach wider potential supporters.
  2. The Resilient grant enabled us to use modern fundraising tools such as a donor management system and a secure online donation platform in order to raise funds from across the country and globally.
  3. It is through these systems that we are able to to use automation in order to raise funds from diverse individuals on a monthly, yearly and on a one-time basis. These systems also allow us to automate the issuing of donation tax receipts so that when a donor makes a donation, the individual donor gets a receipt issued on our behalf no matter the time when the donation is made. Program donors will no longer need to wait days in order to obtain their paper receipts from our office.
